Stella & The Meds (A)

Wild and dirty austro-pennsylvanian rock. A recently formed rock trio, STELLA AND THE MEDS tell unflinching stories about life´s pleasures and pains, fearlessly driving through genres. Running the gamut between honest schmutz and dirty sophistication, the songs explore urban angst (Gone), parts of the human body (THPW) and the abysses of the soul (The Drone) with a stiff shot of dark humor. Ultimately, the drums and bass kick ass and Stella´s Fender amp “the Beast” takes some names. Call it postpunk indie or loud and dirty garage-blues-punk, we say let´s just fuckin´ rock: bring it on, baby!

Pyrite (A)

Die fünfköpfige Band Pyrite tönt wie ein musikalisches Feuerwerk mit Funken aus Folk, Pop, (Kraut-)Rock und Jazz: In der Narrengoldgrube aus rhythmisch-tragender Harmonie und molliger Melodik treffen mehrstimmige Gesangsreigen auf lebhafte Instrumentierung (Schlagzeug, Gitarre, Bass, Keys/Akkordeon/Flöte, Geige/Mandoline). Hier klingt es einmal strukturiert und ausgeheckt - dann wieder verspielt und experimentell. Pyrite produzieren schimmernde Ohrwürmer, die nicht gefällig sind, aber doch gefallen - bunt angelaufen, von wechselnder Gestalt, mit melancholisch-ironischem Glanz.
