Weasel Walter (first name/last name - don't call him "Walter") is best
known as the leader of long running punk-jazz/no wave/brutal prog band
The Flying Luttenbachers. Between 1991 and 2007, the band featured a
constantly shifting cast of notable musicians from free jazz and experimental rock realms including Ken Vandermark, Mick Barr (Orthrelm/Octis/Ocrilim), Fred Lonberg-Holm (Peter Brotzmann Tentet, etc.), Hal Russell (NRG Ensemble), Ed Rodriguez (Gorge Trio) and Jonathan Hischke (Hella) amongst others.
The multi-instrumentalist has been hailed by renegade guitar army general
Glenn Branca as "one of the greatest rock composers who ever lived."
He has performed with a diverse gamut of groups and musicians including
XBXRX, Lair of the Minotaur, Marshall Allen of the Sun Ra Arkestra, Jim
O'Rourke, Henry Kaiser, Erase Errata, Bobby Conn and Kevin Drumm. He has produced seminal records for Arab On Radar, The Coachwhips, AIDS Wolf, Total Shutdown and Burmese in addition to the dozens he's played on.

on these german dates Walter will perform high energy duets on drums with
Austrian reedist Mario Rechtern. An alumni of the Reform Art Unit,
Rechtern is a manic and expressive powerhouse of a saxophonist and this
combination of musicians should reach new heights of velocity and
communication.
