Längst ist Wien ein Melting Pot für Hip-Hop- Connaisseure & -innen sowie internationale und nationale Rap-Acts geworden. Daher lassen wir, sowie viele andere Veranstalter, keinen Monat vergehen, an dem es nicht heißt: Graffiti, Breakdance, Rap & DJing!

Am 9. April laden wir euch deshalb zu einem Konzert ein, dass es in dieser Form selten zu sehen gibt - Female MC Power aus Wien, welche wie direkt aus den USA importiert klingt und massenweise Eastcoast Rap in Form der Rapkoryphäe A.G. (Showbiz & A.G.) aus der Bronx,seinerseits Teil des New Yorker Hip Hop Kollektivs DITC (Diggin’ in the Crates), welches auch klingende Namen wie Diamond Ditc (produzierte das erste Fugees Album mit), Lord Finesse oder den bereits verstorbenen “Devil’s Son” Big L 139 beheimatet. Das wohl kommerziell bekannteste Mitglied der Truppe ist Rapper FAT JOE.

Neben A.G. beehrt uns Chi-Ali, seinerzeit Native Tongues Mitglied, neben legendären Pionieren wie A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Mos Def und Queen Latifah, bei seinem ersten Besuch in Europa und Wien. Mit im Gepäck für die “Back 4 Da First Time Tour” hat er Al Tejeda und Fokis.

Al Tejeda erreichte als Mitglied der NYC underground Gruppe Shadez of Brooklyn seinen Einstieg ins Hip Hop Universum. Fokis produziert und rappt seit den frühen 90er-Jahren, zuletzt in Kollaboration mit Madlib´s kleinem Bruder, Oh No.

Die routinierte Rapperin & DJ/Produzentin Soulcat E-Phife wird euch vor der Band mit ihrer im April neu erscheinenden EP “Prepare for Warfare” einheizen, welche ihrem straighten, souligen, jedoch auch toughen und 90er-haften Sound allemal gerecht wird.

kommt doch einfach vorbei und überzeugt euch selbst!!

Wir feiern an diesem Abend das einzig wahre BOOMBAP Erlebnis.

Vienna has truly evolved into a melting pot for male and female Hip-Hop connaisseurs as well as international and national Hip Hop Acts. Therefore we can’t let any month pass without a crazy nice party/concert honoring the 4 Elements of Hip-Hop at Fluc. In April we’ll present to you a show that’s indeed one of a kind - local female MC power sounding like it’s imported directly from the states, combined with Hip-Hop genius A.G. (BX) of the New York Collective D.I.T.C (Diggin’ in the Crates) - a crew that also mothers legends like Diamond D, Lord Finesse or the late “Devil’s Son” BIG L, who’s also admired by many.

Additionally, Chi-Ali (formerly Native Tongues) will rock the mic for the first time in Vienna ever. The NYC based MC shared tracks and stages with pioneers like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Mos Def and Queen Latifah. Joining the hip hop force - Al Tejeda (Shadez of Brooklyn) and Fokis. Both NYC underground MC´s started their career in the early 90´s when boom bap was booming.

The female MC and DJ/producer SOULCAT E-PHIFE will present her new EP “Prepare for warfare” (due April 1st) and heat the place up with her signature boombap/soulful, straight forward 90’s sound.
