19:00 Billboard-Präsentation Evol/Love

Evol - the word Love read backwards with the sound of its antonym: evil - is a project in three parts: a sound installation, new publication, and a billboard series that connects 160 subtitles in the subcategory `Love´ from Robin Waart’s film still archive - arranged in alphabetical order, from ‘Love is where you find it’ (A: A Date with Judy, US 1948) to ‘But even if it´s a little late, love has a way of coming back to you’ (Y: Yeonae/Love is a Crazy Thing, KR 2005).

Starting off at Fluc’s Billboard space in Vienna, the next iteration of Evol/Love can be seen at Bloc Projects in Sheffield from February 28 onward, picking up the text where it stops at Fluc. Link:

Evol/Love

Evol - dass das Wort Love rückwärts gelesen wie sein Gegensatz evil klingt, ist Ausgangpsunkt für ein Projekt in drei Teilen: eine Soundarbeit, neue Publikation, und Billboardreihe, in dem 160 Untertitel der Kategorie ‘Liebe’ aus Robin Waarts Filmstillarchiv zu einem laufenden Text verbunden werden - in alphabetischer Reihenfolge, von ‘Love is where you find it’ (A: A Date with Judy, US 1948) bis ‘But even if it´s a little late, love has a way of coming back to you’ (Y: Yeonae/Love is a Crazy Thing, KR 2005).

Nach der Billboardpräsentation bei Fluc wird die zweite Folge der Evol/Love Serie ab dem 28. Februar bei Bloc Projects in Sheffield zu sehen sein, wo der Text weitergeht wo er in Wien aufhört. Link:

Den Stil dieser Band kann man vl am besten unter dem Begriff ,Weird Pop´ zusammenfassen.
In den Kompositionen finden sich Einflüsse von David Lynch bis Amy Winehouse wieder… aber so richtig ankommen tut man an diesen Haltestellen auch nicht…
