DJ Woxow

Woxow is an alias for italian music lover, record collector, DJ, promoter, tour manager and booker, Theo Fulcheri. Theo´s obsession with music began at the age of 16, when he produced personalized cassette compilations for friends, just to be sure they were enjoying the same music he was.

The step from there to DJing and organizing festivals was natural. Fulcheri founded reggae Sound System “CasaBrasa” and launched the legendary “Bornasco ReggaeFestival” (2004-2009) which was recognized as one of the top up-and-coming festivals in Italy. It featured Italian and foreign artists, and hosted Alton Ellis for one of his very last gigs in 2007. Some of the artists to headline Bornasco included Derrick Morgan, MadProfessor, Trojan Sound, Dub Pistols, Dub Incorporation, Zion Train, Bitty McLean, Million Stylez, and Africa Unite, among many others.

Around the same time, Fulcheri became a founding member of reggae band the “Dotvibes” for which he played keys. The band toured all over Italy and won the ItalianRototom Sunsplash contest in 2008. Fulcheri then moved to London where he increased his music knowledge and record collection, saw hundreds of gigs, performed as a DJ, and organized parties including a night called “HeartBeat” in East London which featured, among others, the famous Trojan Sound System and a very unique dub set from the minimal techno duo Swayzak.

After returning to Italy in 2010, he joined “The Sweet Life Society” (signed to Warner Music for their first album) and over the next 5 years, worked as a DJ, booker, tour manager and eventually producer, signing two tracks on the “Antique Beats” album (“Loving the unexpected” and “Oh oh oh (feat. Too Many T’s)”). The italian collective toured all over Europe (Glastonbury, Bestival, Fusion, Boomtown, Lowlands, and more) as well as a very special, 30-day tour of the United States.
