Dort, wo klassische Ideen des Indie-Rock-Revivals an kommerzielle Grenzen stoßen, fangen Siamese Elephants an ihr eigenes Süppchen zu kochen. Gewürzt mit Reminiszenzen an Garage-Rock, Funk, Disco und den besten Momenten britischer Größen der 2000er, machen die vier Wiener Gitarrenmusik ohne Schnickschnack - dafür aber mit viel Authentizität und einer Lust am Unkonventionellen. Dabei haben sich Siamese Elephants auf ihrem im April 2023 erscheinenden zweiten Album “There Goes The Sun” soundmäßig gefunden. Mit Experimentierfreude vermählen sie verspielt Genregrenzen und schauen mit skeptischem Blick in die Zukunft.
Die Debüt-Single “Dancing In The City” zählt mittlerweile über 4,5 Mio. Streams allein auf Spotify und mit ihrem 2021 erschienen Album “What Happened At The Social Club?” streiften sie internationale Radiochartplatzierungen (u.a. egoFM, Deutschlandfunk Nova, Bayern 2 und FM4) ein. Die neue Single “Moshing To A Lovesong” ist gleichzeitig auch das Credo der Liveshows, denn besonders auf der Bühne ist die energiegeladene Indie-Rock-Band eine Wucht. Und so ist es wenig verwunderlich, dass sie allein in den letzten beiden Jahre umjubelte Konzerte von Kairo über Paris und Berlin bis hin zum renommierten Reeperbahnfestival in Hamburg spielten.

Where classic ideas of the indie rock revival reach commercial limits, Siamese Elephants start cooking their own soup. Spiced with reminiscences of garage rock, funk, disco and the best moments of British greats of the 2000s, the four Viennese guitarists make music without frills - but with a lot of authenticity and a desire for the unconventional. Siamese Elephants have found their sound on their second album “There Goes The Sun”, which will be released in April 2023. With a love of experimentation, they playfully marry genre boundaries and look to the future with a skeptical eye.
