Bipolar Feminins zuletzt veröffentlichte Single trägt den Titel Matrose. In den Lyrics zu Matrose wird damit kokettiert, welche abergläubischen Auswirkung es hat, eine Zigarette mit einer Kerze anzuzünden. Die Bedeutung variiert, je nachdem in welchen Breitengraden man aufwuchs. In Leni Ulrichs´ bedeutet es, dass ein Matrose sterben muss.
Eben diese Leni Ulrich, Sängerin, Gitarristin und Texterin von Bipolar Feminin, wird medial gerne als Frontfrau, als “lebendes Aushängeschild” bezeichnet.
Als Hommage an beide, den herzenbrechenden Matrosen und die männerdominierten Medien, wird tatsächlich eine Galionsfigur in Kooperation mit der Universität für Angewandte Kunst, Klasse Skulptur und Raum unter der Leitung von Hans Schabus, erstellt und als Bühnenbild dienen. Die stilisierte Galionsfigur auf Schiffen vergangener Zeiten wird künstlerisch, postmodern aufgearbeitet, so dass sie im Heute gelesen werden kann.
Die Grazer Videoartists OchoReSotto filmen die Performance live und halten diesen ersten Teil eines Traversals - der zweite Teil findet in Hamburg statt - dokumentarisch und auf ihre bewährte, analoge Art fest.

Bipolar Feminin’s most recently released single is titled Matrose. The lyrics to Matrose flirt with the superstitious effect of lighting a cigarette with a candle. The meaning varies depending on the latitudes in which one grew up. In Leni Ulrichs’ it means that a sailor must die.
It is precisely this Leni Ulrich, singer, guitarist and lyricist of Bipolar Feminin, who the media likes to call the front woman, the “living figurehead”.
As a tribute to both, the heart-breaking sailor and the male-dominated media, a figurehead will indeed be created in cooperation with the University of Applied Arts, class Sculpture and Space under the direction of Hans Schabus, and will serve as a stage set. The stylized figurehead on ships of past times will be artistically, post-modernly reworked so that it can be read in today.
The Graz-based video artists OchoReSotto will film the performance live and record this first part of a traversal - the second part will take place in Hamburg - in documentary form and in their tried-and-tested analog way.
